Freight and LTL orders are the ones where the final cost isn’t known at checkout, exactly the orders that should be placed now and priced later. Small parcel orders can just be paid by card.
This add-on ties purchase order availability to the shipping method the customer selects, and since v1.3.2 it can also exclude specific shipping zones, useful when your terms differ by region. Requires the WooCommerce Purchase Order Payment Gateway.
What it does
- Select one or more shipping methods that allow purchase order payment

The classic setup
Freight shipping selected → purchase order appears, order placed On Hold, you add the real freight cost, then send the pay link. Standard parcel shipping → card payment only. That entire workflow is this add-on plus the base gateway.
