My Commitment
This site is built and maintained to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and other assistive technology. Iām targeting conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and I test and fix issues against that standard on an ongoing basis.
Conformance Status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the content donāt yet fully meet the standard, listed below.
Testing performed to date: automated Lighthouse accessibility audits of key templates (home, single post, page, product, cart, checkout), a full keyboard-only walkthrough of navigation and the WooCommerce checkout flow, and a review of landmark regions, heading structure, and form labeling using the browser accessibility tree. Screen reader testing (VoiceOver/NVDA) has not yet been performed.
Known limitations
- Some product images used as trust badges on the cart and checkout pages are missing descriptive text for screen readers.
- The country and state fields at checkout use a third-party dropdown component with a known accessible-naming gap for screen reader users; Iām tracking a fix.
- One product page includes a comparison table where row labels arenāt marked up as table headers.
- The āenter a coupon codeā control at checkout has a minor mismatch between its visible label and its accessible name.
Most of these come from third-party plugin code (WooCommerce, and the dropdown library it uses) rather than site-specific templates, and I address whatās in my control as I find it.
